Spontaneous Big Bear Ski/Board Trip
I love spontaneous adventures more than anything. Something about not planning in advance and letting any prior obligations fall to the wayside is a nice refresh every once in a while. Sometimes you just need to take off that backpack you're carrying full of your duties, the things you need to get done, worry, and stress, and just let it fall away to live in the present moment.
Feeling the rush of wind in my hair and the instincts kicking in from when I used to ski every weekend in Canada made me sure of two things 1) you will always find time to do the things that need to get done 2) holding on to your stress and letting your mind spin with worry serves zero purpose. It will not get you from point a to point b any faster. In fact, it will slow you down. You need those moments of pure enjoyment and simple fun to realize that you have a handle on your life and that you will accomplish you goals and get what needs to get done without over analyzing and letting them sink you down. Practice flowing through life knowing that YOU got this.
Dani and I took our Weekend Tee's skiing, because it was so warm out. I've never had an appreciation for spring skiing until this trip. It was so nice being able to go down the slopes in jeans and no gloves. These shirts were such a nice fit for the weekend. The fabric is so soft and comfy and I love how light they are. Can It just be the weekend forever?
I was also super stoked to try out my new Birksun and what better way then while skiing? I love listening to music while going down the slopes and making sure that my phone stayed charge through this solar panel backpack was amazing. I also absolutely loved how well it distributed weight. I could barely feel it on my back even though it had all our stuff in it. Such an amazing product, I can’t wait to use it at Coachella.
