Occidental Tucancún - Cancun, Mexico

Occidental Tucancún was a blast of a resort, located right on the turquoise waters of Cancun. I felt utterly relaxed waking up everyday in paradise with palm trees blowing in the wind and the sound of crashing waves out my window. If you’re interested in going on holiday in Cancun, then Tucancún is a great choice for its central location, all-inclusive amenities and overall fun-filled vibe.

The Food and Drinks

Tucancún

All-inclusive means you get all the drinks and food your heart desires, but unlike other all inclusives that I’ve stayed at, Tucancún pays particular attention to the quality of their food, giving patrons a multitude of fine-dining experiences. On premise is an Italian restaurant, authentic Mexican restaurant, buffet and fish restaurant. We had a chance to visit each one during our five-night stay and never was disappointed in the quality of the food or the flavors!

Tucancún also did not fall-short when it came to their drinks. We had the option of two different bars, one in the lobby and the other by the pool. As long as you had a wristband, you could pick up a margarita or two from the pool whenever you wanted.

The Property

The property is geared towards having the most relaxing and easy going time! This includes multiple pools, day beds and amenities! During my five days there, I felt like it was my home away from home with an amazing gym a few steps away from my room. Additionally, unlike other hotels, Tucancún also has a pharmacy, gift store and even jewelry store right on premise! However, what was even more spectacular was that you could rent a car right on premise.

The Spa

The spa had a ton of different services available, including hair braiding and a authentic Mexican healing massage! On the first day I got a part of my hair braided just for fun and on the last day I got an amazing authentic massage with hot stones. It made my experience so invigorating and fun! The hair braiding was awesome and made for some great photos.

The Surrounding Area

Cancun itself is a lively, beautiful city with a vibrant nightlife, some of the prettiest beaches I’ve ever seen and a ton of great restaurants. However, if you’re interested in going on an adventure I’d recommend renting a car from Tucancún and getting out to explore the surrounding area! There’s Mayan ruins to discover, Cenote’s to float in and neighboring towns to gallivant! Tucancún is close enough to everything that you can do day trips and come back with plenty of time.

The Beach

I needed to write a separate section on this, because what’s one thing on the priority list when visiting Cancun? The beach duh! Tucancún makes sure that you see plenty of it, with its property literally right on the water. Our villa overlooked the ocean and we were lucky enough to catch a ton of amazing sunrises simply by waking up early enough to gaze out our window. Think the bluest of the blue water, white sandy beaches and the pool bar only a few hundred feet away.

Conclusion

If you’re interested in going on a tropical, beach holiday then Tucancún Occidental is the perfect mix of luxurious relaxation, partying in the sun and a means to go on all the Mexican adventures your heart desires! The all-inclusive aspect of Tucancún makes it an easy choice when it comes to convenience and its location right on the gorgeous Cancun beach will have you drooling at the gorgeous views everyday!
